Warren Rosser

Warren Rosser, originally from Wales, lives and works in Kansas City. He Chaired the Painting Department and taught at Kansas City Art Institute for many years.

Warren Rosser worked at Prairieside Outpost in October 2014.His prints and paintings can be viewed at Haw Contemporary in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.

During his residency,Warren Rosser focused on drawings,  writings and experiencing the transitional spaces in nature that are unique to the Flint Hills region.

In early 2015, Warren Rosser focused on making prints in his Kansas City studio that were influenced by the early morning and early evening light and shadows he experienced in the Flint Hills. Color at those times of day had a unique resonance, which he captured in his prints.

These monoprints were exhibited in a solo exhibition, Folding Space: New Monoprints at Haw Contemporary in March/April 2015.
